Declaring shore-based recreational fishing activities on MonGuichet.mc
This mandatory declaration is now available online via MonGuichet.mc thanks to a new online service that simplifies procedures for users while facilitating the processing of applications by the Government.
In order to support the development of recreational fishing in the Principality and to improve knowledge of those practising the activity, a mandatory declaration procedure was introduced in 2025.
Valid for a period of three years, this declaration enables recreational anglers, both adults and children, to pursue this activity within a regulated framework. It also enables the Government to maintain contact details for participants and to keep them informed, particularly in the event of regulatory changes. Finally, it contributes to a better understanding of recreational fishing practices, with a view to monitoring the activity and preserving the marine environment.
Since its introduction, the scheme has been widely adopted by users, with 614 declarations recorded in 2025 and a further 190 declarations already submitted since the beginning of 2026.
In response to users’ requests to complete this formality without having to travel in person, and in order to facilitate the processing of applications, the Prince’s Government has launched a new online service on MonGuichet.mc, enabling the entire declaration process to be completed online quickly and easily, in just a few clicks.
