"Des Ateliers aux Ateliers" – Workshops and courses for young people (aged 3-18)

To bring the “Des Ateliers aux Ateliers” (From Workshops to Workshops) photography exhibition to a wider audience, the Department of Cultural Affairs has organised fun tours and creative workshops for young people, available from 30 September 2024.

The exhibition takes visitors on a unique journey through the history of twentieth-century art, with over 150 photographs of artists in their studios captured by artist Michel Sima.

These youth activities allow children to learn about art history through drawing and plastic arts workshops and provide a chance to experience life as artists for an afternoon by creating small artworks based on various themes:

• "Portraits" for 3–5-year-olds (accompanied by parents), Wednesday from 3pm to 4.30pm
• "Portraits and expressions" for 6–9-year-olds, Saturday from 2pm to 4pm
• "The moving body" for 10–14-year-olds, Sunday from 2pm to 4pm

• "An imaginary world" for 5–8-year-olds, 24 and 25 October, 2pm to 4pm
• "A workshop within a workshop" for 11–18-year-olds, 29 and 30 October, 2pm to 4pm
• "From Shadow to Light" for 9–12-year-olds, 31 October, and 1 November, 2-4pm
