Enhanced measures to prevent inappropriate behaviour and dangerous driving by drivers of high-powered vehicles on public roads
The Prince’s Government draws attention to the fact that certain particularly attractive events may lead to large gatherings of vehicles likely to cause significant disturbances to public order.
Often unplanned, these gatherings of sports cars may give rise to proven road traffic offences as well as inappropriate and dangerous behaviour.
The Prince’s Government is committed to curbing the above-mentioned phenomena and to more effectively tackling those responsible for occasional disturbances, thereby preserving public peace and safety for residents of the Principality.
Accordingly, in line with the measures adopted for previous editions, the period of vehicle impoundment for offending vehicles will be extended during the 83rd Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Monaco Grand Prix, from 4 to 7 June 2026
In the event of a breach of the Highway Code, immediate vehicle impoundment will be extended to a period of 120 hours.
