New Road Resurfacing Campaign
In preparation for upcoming motor racing and cycling events in the Principality, the Department of Urban Amenities (DAU) will carry out a road resurfacing campaign from 16 February to 19 March 2026, in order to ensure the quality and safety of the road network.
This year’s campaign, more extensive than in previous years, forms part of the annual preparations for the Monaco Grand Prix, as well as the exceptional hosting of the Vuelta, an international cycling race.
To minimise disruption to traffic, works will take place exclusively at night and will be clearly signposted. Temporary lane closures and parking restrictions will be implemented, with specific information provided to local residents.
Emergency services and Police will retain access to all areas at all times in case of emergency, and pedestrian routes will be maintained and clearly marked throughout the duration of the works.
Affected bus routes will be diverted from 8:00 p.m., with information provided by the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco. Users of impacted car parks may, upon request, be offered temporary parking in nearby facilities.
While these works may result in temporary inconvenience, they are necessary to maintain a safe, high-quality and sustainable road network for the benefit of all users.
