Official fraud warning notice – Malicious Phone Calls

PRESS RELEASE
Residents of the Principality of Monaco are currently receiving malicious phone calls originating from various mobile phone numbers.
Fraudsters are primarily targeting elderly individuals. They claim to be French or Monegasque police officers and allege fraud involving a bank account or payment card in order to obtain confidential information.
This is a fraudulent phone scam intended to deceive anyone who responds to these requests.
Recipients of such calls are advised to:
- Not engage with the caller
- Not disclose any confidential information
- Block the phone number
- Contact the Monaco Police Department : (+377) 93 15 30 15
