This general guide is designed as a tool for awareness and prevention and support. Its aim is to provide information on the measures in place, to remind everyone of their rights, and clarify the responsibilities of all.
The present guide aims to present, firstly, the main provisions of Act no. 1.457 of 12 December 2017 concerning harassment and violence in the workplace.
This text of 15 articles protects employees, trainees as well as civil servants and other government officials against psychological or sexual harassment, sexual blackmail and violence in the workplace.
Taken as a whole, this text helps to prevent and put an end to this type of behaviour.
This guide also provides further clarification regarding relevant legislative and/or case-law provisions. Together, these elements provide a vision according to various perspectives (employer, designated representative, victimised employee, …) enabling everyone to find initial answers to the questions they are likely to have.
