Médiathèque Caroline

Located in the heart of the Principality, the Médiathèque Caroline(Caroline Media Library) now brings together in one place the library, video and audio library, children's library and toys and games section.

This new space for culture, meetings and community life is housed in a modern, welcoming and bright space of over 2,500 square metres.

It is designed for all audiences and all uses in the service of knowledge, social connection and creativity.

Open to all and free of charge, the Médiathèque Caroline also aims to promote informal learning and intergenerational connections.

It is built around four fundamental pillars, which drive its daily activities and cultural influence: 

• Collections and documentary mediation
• Public services 
• Digital and IT 
• Cultural programming and communication

These interconnected pillars enable it to meet a wide variety of needs, create social connections and bring to life a space in constant evolution. 

• Early childhood: cosy corners, shared reading sessions
• Children & teenagers: youth space, manga bar, video games
• Families: spaces designed to experience culture together
• Students: study room, digital resources, Wi-Fi 
• Seniors & users with access needs: personalised welcome, home delivery service, hearing loop system

• The green & solidarity space to learn about ecology and the environment
• The Monaco collection to discover reference works and local news

Screenings, exhibitions, author meetings, concerts and readings remain an integral part of the programming, with new formats for all ages, such as philosophical workshops (adults & young people), musical relaxation sessions and solidarity knitting workshops…
