Understanding the process
The Lycée Rainier III offers the following courses:
- A CS Sommellerie (Certificate of Specialisation)
Open to any candidate who holds a general, technical, or vocational baccalaureate or another diploma of an equivalent level (i.e. level 4) - An access courseFor candidates who already hold a general or technical baccalaureate (not including the baccalaureate specialising in hospitality & catering science) and are looking to enrol on a BTS MHR (Sciences et Technologies de l’hôtellerie et de la restauration - Advanced Vocational Diploma in Hospitality and Catering Management)
- Three BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) courses (Advanced Vocational Diplomas courses)
- MHR (Management Hôtellerie-Restauration -Hospitality and Catering Management), with three options available
- Management d’unité de restauration (Food Service Facility Management)
- Management d’unité de production culinaire (Culinary Production Facility Management)
- Management d’unité d’hébergement Accommodation Facility Management
- CG (Comptabilité et Gestion - Accounting and Management)
- SAM (Support à l’Action Managériale - Executive Support)
- MHR (Management Hôtellerie-Restauration -Hospitality and Catering Management), with three options available
- A DCG (Diploma in Accounting and Management L2&L3)
Open exclusively to holders of the "BTS Comptabilité et Gestion" (Advanced Vocational Diploma in Accounting and Management)
This procedure enables candidates, or their legal guardian, if the candidate is a minor, to submit an application file in order to enrol on one of the post-secondary programs above at the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.
If the candidate's application is approved, he or she will be invited for an interview at our premises. At the end of this interview, if the applicant is successful, you will be asked to confirm the candidate's enrolment in the Lycée Rainier III for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Calendar:
- 19 January 2026: activation of the online service for submitting applications
- 1 April 2026: deadline for submitting applications
- From 27 April to 08 May 2026: holding of admission interviews at the lycée Rainier III
- 29 May 2026: the results of the selection committee
- From 1 to 12 June 2026: 2nd application phase
The supporting documents to be provided with regard to this process are:
- Copies of the termly (or half-yearly) school reports for the current and previous school years. The report for the third term of the current year will need to be sent during final enrolment
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae for the candidate
- A cover letter for the candidate
- A document showing the recommendation of the class teacher and head teacher at the candidate’s current school:
- A copy of the diploma obtained (Baccalaureate). This is optional with regard to this process but must be sent at the time of final enrolment
- If the candidate is a minor:
- A letter from the second legal guardian authorising the candidate to attend school in Monaco
- For divorced or separated parents, the court ruling on child custody - Only the first and last pages of the ruling need to be sent with this application

Applications must be submitted via the online service before 1 April 2026.
You will receive acknowledgement of registration by email at the time of application.
The complete application file must be given or sent to the Lycée Rainier III before 1 April 2026.
