How to apply for a roof insulation grant

Support is available for the installation of roof insulation carried out by a professional. This support:

• Has a maximum limit of €9/m² (including taxes) of roof to be insulated
• Is limited to the first 400m² of insulation per building

The grant can be applied for by:

• The private owner
• The representative of the owners if the building is under joint ownership
• All members of a collective ownership, which may consist of private or public owners, through the property manager or through the representative in the absence of a property manager

Agreement in principle of the grant is given on the basis of the application submitted.

• Or collect it from the Department of the Environment

Your application should include copies of the following documents in duplicate:

• The completed grant application form
• Proof of ownership or of authorisation to act as representative
• A full description of the work, including a copy of the plan(s) and the characteristics and performance of the insulation material (heat resistance, etc.)
• A detailed quote drawn up by a professional

You need to take all the documents to the Department of the Environment

After processing the grant application, the Department of the Environment will inform applicants of its agreement in principle.
