From 1 July 2026, the State Medical Benefits Office (SPME) becomes the Department of State Medical and Family Benefits (DPMFE).
Principle
The State Medical and Family Benefits Department is both a health insurance scheme and family allowance fund for all employees working for the State or the Commune.
Recipients
Those eligible to benefit from this scheme are:
- Permanent civil servants, other Government or Commune officials, temporary staff and Monegasque students
- Spouses who do not work, and dependent children/young people under 21 who attend an educational establishment, are also eligible for the social security scheme because of their connection with the insured person
