Larvotto beach prepares for start of summer season
Reprofiling work to take place from 15 April to 3 May.
Like last year, as the summer season approaches and with a view to welcoming the many users of the Larvotto resort under the best possible conditions, beach reprofiling work will be carried out from 15 April to 3 May to reduce the slope that has built up considerably over the winter.
This exclusively land-based work involves levelling the mound of pebbles and will help to recreate a morphology that is appropriate for the beach, guaranteeing sufficient capacity and meeting safety requirements for access to swimming areas.
To ensure the balance of marine biodiversity at the beach during this work, 120-metre retaining nets will be put in place over the water, to the right of the coves. These will protect the adjacent underwater reserve from sediment generated by the reprofiling.
To protect users, swimming will be prohibited for the duration of this work.
However, parts of the beach will remain accessible in line with the progress of the reprofiling, which will be carried out from 7.30 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 6.30 pm.
The resort’s restaurants and shops will remain open with no restrictions.
Throughout the season, regular maintenance will be carried out to maintain the width and gentle slope of the beach. This will not require any further closures and the water will remain accessible for swimming.
