Driving Licence: Monaco Introduces a New Format

From 4 July 2026, the Principality is introducing a new bank card-format driving licence, designed to be more practical for everyday use, more secure, more durable and fully compliant with international standards. This new model will progressively replace the current driving licence, which will remain valid for several years. Both formats will coexist during this transitional period. Holders of the current-format driving licence therefore have no immediate action to take.

Nationwide industrial action by SNCF on 10 June: significant service disruptions expected at Monaco Station

Due to a national strike affecting the entire SNCF group (Stations & Connections, Network and Sud Azur) scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday 10 June, which will be particularly impactful on the Les Arcs-Draguignan – Vintimille line, train services will be severely disrupted at Monaco-Monte-Carlo Station.
