A licence is required for the establishment and use of ship radio stations using the maritime mobile service. It must be renewed every year.
Understanding the process
In accordance with the Act no. 928 of 08 December 1972 regarding private radio stations and the relevant implementing legislation, the establishment and use of ship radio stations using the maritime mobile service are subject to obtaining a licence, delivered on behalf of the Minister of State on a short-term, revocable basis by the Director of Digital Platforms and Resources, for the duration of one year.
The duration of this licence will be extended from one validity period to another after payment of the flag registration fees of the vessel to the Department of Maritime Affairs of Monaco.

The licence will then be sent to you by post.
