Principle
In a bid to improve its response to crisis situations, the Crisis Centre of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development has created an Internet portal allowing French and Monegasque travellers to provide information regarding their travel overseas easily and free of charge, should they wish to do so. All they need to do is to enter details of how they can be reached during their travel, and contact details of the person who should be contacted in the event of an emergency.
The aim is for the Crisis Centre of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (or the Embassy of the country in question) to be able to swiftly identify and locate French or Monegasque travellers who are in that country when a crisis occurs and to be able to contact them in the event of a relief operation.

To register on the Portail Ariane you should complete the Ariane registration form on the MAEDI website.
