16th Monaco Blue Initiative

Monaco Blue Initiative is a unique platform for debate, which brings major stakeholders involved in preserving the oceans together annually, with the aim of taking a practical approach to the global challenges of managing and conserving marine environments

The event facilitates exchanges between various stakeholders, including private sector companies, scientific experts, political decision-makers, international organisations and civil society.

The resulting recommendations fuel international discussions on ocean governance and protection and influence major bodies such as the Convention on Biological Diversity, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, talks on marine biodiversity and major international meetings such as the International Marine Protected Area Congress.
