Monegasque Rugby Federation - Sainte Dévote Rugby Tournament
The Monegasque Rugby Federation is organising the Sainte Dévote Tournament at the Louis II Stadium on 19 and 20 April. The 12th edition will be sponsored by Antoine Zeghdar.
This is the key event 7-a-side rugby event for young rugby players under the age of 12. The Sainte-Dévote Tournament, named after the Patron Saint of the Principality, will take place on 19 and 20 April at the Louis II Stadium. For this 12th edition, 24 U12 teams from 21 different countries will try to win this prestigious international competition organised by the Monegasque Rugby Federation with the support of the Princess Charlène Foundation.
This year, the event is getting bigger. It will take place over two days instead of just one in previous years. South Africa's Blue Bulls will be coming to Monaco to defend their title.
They will be up against countries that are now regulars at the event, such as Mauritius, the United States, France and Italy, as well as newcomers such as India, Côte d'Ivoire and Jamaica. Beyond the sporting aspect, the values of the oval ball will also be highlighted.
These encounters will illustrate team spirit and the notions of generosity, solidarity and respect that enable children to better accept themselves and build a harmonious future alongside others.
