2024 Cycling Criterium: how will it impact your travel plans?

On Sunday 17 March, Port Hercule will host the 49th Cycling Criterium organised by the Monaco Cycling Union.

As in previous years, the event village will be installed on Quai Albert I and the race will take place on Route de la Piscine, Avenue J.F. Kennedy and Boulevard Albert I. This will impact.

Traffic

On Sunday 17 March, from 6.30 am to 6.30 pm, the following roads will be closed to traffic:

  • Quai des États-Unis, from the restricted access zone on the quay to the intersection with Route de la Piscine
  • Route de la Piscine
  • Avenue J.F. Kennedy*
  • South dock

*: An exception will be made for the vehicles of residents in the area from Boulevard Louis II to Quai des États-Unis (travel must be in the direction of the Portier crossroads and it will not be possible to turn onto Quai des Etats-Unis).

From Saturday 16 March at 11 pm to Sunday 17 March until 6.30 pm:

  • Only the Boulevard Albert I service road will be open to road traffic
  • The uphill lanes on Quai Antoine I, from Route de la Piscine to Boulevard Albert I will be closed to traffic, while two-way traffic will be set up for the downhill lanes, from the Rocher-Noghès Tunnel to the Quai Antoine I car park. No vehicles arriving from Quai Antoine I will be able to turn onto Boulevard Albert I

Vehicle parking

From Saturday 16 March at 11 pm to Sunday 17 March until 6.30 pm, parking will be prohibited on:

  • Quai des États-Unis, from the restricted access zone on the quay to the intersection with Route de la Piscine
  • Route de la Piscine
  • Louis Chiron corner
  • The Jules Soccal jetty
  • South Dock
  • All of Boulevard Albert I
  • Quai Antoine I, from the Rocher-Noghès Tunnel to the Quai Antoine I car park

CAM bus service

  • Buses will load and unload passengers while stopped in the middle of the road at the "Stade Nautique" and "Princesse Antoinette" (Station) stops
  • Line 1 will be diverted to Avenue d’Ostende from 6:30 am to 6.30 pm. The following stops will be closed: "Kennedy", "Auditorium Rainier III", "Portier", "Spélugues", "Citronniers" and "Place du Casino"

Intercity bus service (607 and 80)

  • From 6.30 am to 6.30 pm, buses will load and unload passengers on the Boulevard Albert I service road for the "Princesse Antoinette" stop (between Monaco and Menton)
