2025 Visitor Survey: learning more about the travel habits of visitors to Monaco
The Monaco Statistics (IMSEE), in partnership with the Tourist and Convention Authority, will be running a survey throughout 2025 on the spending habits of tourists visiting the Principality of Monaco.
The survey goals
The survey has been designed to gather essential information, particularly regarding accommodation, dining and leisure preferences, the reasons for visiting Monaco, and the length of stay. This information will provide a deeper insight into visitor behaviour in order to improve Monaco's tourism services and enhance visitor experiences in the Principality.
How to take part
- Survey conductors will visit key areas of the Principality to meet visitors and carry out quick and discreet interviews lasting no more than five minutes. Participation is voluntary and responses will remain anonymous and confidential
- For those who prefer to respond online, they can do so here
- A QR code will be displayed in select local businesses (hotels, restaurants, shops) thanks to a collaboration with the Monaco Hotels Industry Association (AIHM) and the Monaco Union of Traders and Artisans (UCAM)
Alexandre Bubbio, Director of the IMSEE (Monaco Statistics), states: "I'm thrilled that our partners are responding so positively. Setting up easels on their premises, displaying a QR code that redirects to the questionnaire, along with offering an incentive to participate in the survey, is crucial to its success".
Guy Antognelli, Director of the Tourist and Convention Authority, emphasises the importance of this survey, stating: "This survey will provide us with essential information about visitor’s spending habits, which will help us to refine our marketing strategies and improve our offers, thus increasing Monaco's appeal as a travel destination".
