To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Women’s Rights Committee is launching its 2024 campaign, titled "From the shadows into the light".

The campaign reflects the journey that victims take to escape violence. More specifically, there will be a focus on invisible abuse, such as administrative and economic abuse, abuse which occurs in the sporting world and abuse aimed at women with disabilities.

In conjunction with this campaign, the Committee is also organising a week of events.

This includes the following conferences:

  • •    Economic abuse and discrimination against women, Monday 25 November - 6.30pm in the Lycée Rainer III auditorium
  • Women with disabilities who experience abuse: more exposed, less protected Wednesday 27 November - 6.30pm in the Lycée Rainer III auditorium
  • Abuse in sport: we can fix this! Thursday 28 November – 6.30pm in the Theatre Princess Grace
