Installation of facilities for 2025 motorsports events
The Principality will host the 8th and 9th Monaco E-Prix races on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May, and the 82nd Monaco TAG Heuer Formula 1 Grand Prix from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 May. Some modifications are required to get the urban track ready to host these motorsports events in the heart of the city.
Consequently, the preparatory work required to install the safety, television coverage, advertising and public access and reception infrastructure is set to get underway, alongside the annual resurfacing work which began at the end of February.
This work and the associated traffic changes will begin:
- On Monday 3 March in the Port Hercule area
- On Tuesday 25 March in the Monte-Carlo district
Ad-hoc diversions, one-way systems and parking restrictions will be required. Safe pedestrian walkways will be created by the Automobile Club of Monaco (ACM), with manual traffic control in some areas considered to be hazardous for those on foot.
The roads affected will return to normal after the events have concluded and as the facilities are gradually dismantled. This work will take until Sunday 22 June.
