NEWS RELEASE

On 10 June, BlaBlaCar Daily permanently replaced Klaxit for car sharing to and from the Principality.

All the financial benefits (free travel for passengers, payment of between €1.5 and €3 per passenger per journey to drivers) and guaranteed return travel will remain in place.

Download the app via the App Store or Google Play

The Mission for Energy Transition answers your questions:

  • Will funds from Klaxit accounts be transferred to BlaBlaCar Daily or directly to your bank account?
    • At the time of the changeover (i.e. from today), users will be asked to transfer money from their Klaxit account to BlaBlaCar Daily and can continue to transfer money directly to their bank account, as usual!
  • Will I need to re-enter my details?
    • Certain information will be automatically transferred: surname, first name, email address, telephone number, company name, profile picture, date of birth and telephone number
  • Will Klaxit accounts be closed automatically?
    • Klaxit accounts will remain accessible so that users can recover their funds. Accounts will be automatically closed at the end of the year
  • Will the procedure for downloading the app be the same for Italian cross-border commuters?
    • Italian users will be pleased to know things will be much easier! The BlaBlaCar Daily app offers a much smoother process for Italian users. The app will be available in Italian app stores and can be used in the same way as it is for French and Monegasque users
  • Will the French car-sharing bonus apply to car-sharing to/from Monaco?
    • The bonus applies to all users travelling to/from France. So, just as with Klaxit, any French cross-border commuter in Monaco will be eligible. (Of course, the bonus does not apply cumulatively)
  • Will there be a sticker to identify vehicles using the BlaBlaCar Daily app?
    • This is currently being considered and could be rolled out in the coming months!
