PRESS RELEASE

Since 2007, the utility companies, Monaco Telecom, SMEG and SM Eaux, have been carrying out repair work on the gas, sewage, street lighting, low-voltage electricity, telecommunications and water networks under the supervision of the Department of Urban Amenities. The Government has taken advantage of these works to carry out resurfacing of the roads.

The last phase of this work will affect Rue Notre Dame de Lorette and Ruelle de la Fonderie. As has happened on other streets within Monaco-Ville, the work will involve cutting 20-metre long trenches. Planking will be installed to enable access for local residents and the emergency services.

The work will begin on Monday 14 September and is scheduled to be complete by mid-December 2015.

It was necessary to conduct the utility network upgrades in phases over several years in order to limit the impact of the work on commercial activity on the Rocher. The dates were determined in consultation with retailers.
