Make arrangements if you’re in the Fontvieille area!

On Tuesday 21 January 2025, two major events will be held in the Fontvieille district which could affect your travel.

  • 6.45 pm at Louis II Stadium: Champions League: football match between Monaco and Aston Villa
  • 8 pm at the Fontvieille Big Top: the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival evening gala

You must park in the following car parks:

  • Wurtmberg car parks
  • ZAC Saint Antoine car park
  • Stade Louis II car park
  • Salines car park

Other car parks in the Fontvieille area will not be accessible.

However, it is strongly recommended not to travel to Fontvieille by car, but instead to use public transport if at all possible.

You must park your vehicle in the following car parks:

  • La Colle car park
  • Papalins car park
  • Le Port car park
  • Ecoles car park
  • Saint Nicolas car park
  • The Fontvieille Shopping Centre car park will also be accessible to these eventgoers from 6.30 pm onwards.

However, it is strongly recommended not to travel to Fontvieille by car, but instead to use public transport if at all possible.

Drivers who work in the area can leave the Principality by taking either the Marquet link road in the ZAC Saint Antoine, Avenue de Fontvieille or Avenue Albert II (towards the tunnels). Please note that Avenue des Castelans will be closed from 3.45 pm onwards.

It is nonetheless highly recommended to avoid the area from 4 pm onwards.

The Principality will host the 8th and 9th Monaco E-Prix races on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May, and the 82nd Monaco TAG Heuer Formula 1 Grand Prix from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 May. Some modifications are required to get the urban track ready to host these motorsports events in the heart of the city.
