Monaco Beking 2023: what disruptions can be expected?

The Beking bike race will be held in the Principality for the third year running on Sunday, 26 November: a festive event that brings together professional riders based in Monaco, amateurs and families to promote cycling and support charities (all the details can be found here).

On Sunday, 26 November, from 4am to 6.30pm, traffic will be prohibited on:

• Quai des États-Unis (between the restricted-access quay area and the junction with Route de la Piscine)
• Avenue J.F. Kennedy (between the Sainte-Dévote roundabout and the junction with Route de la Piscine)
• The Route de la Piscine
• Darse Sud

Please note: this restriction will not apply to motorists wishing to reach the Jules Soccal wharf, where two-way traffic will be maintained under supervision and at times set by the organisers depending on the race schedule, on the Quai des États-Unis and the Route de la Piscine, between the dock and Avenue J.F. Kennedy.

On Boulevard Albert Ier, traffic will be allowed to use the side road.

In addition, two-way traffic will be introduced in the downhill direction on the Quai Antoine I between the Quai car park and the Rocher-Noghès tunnel.

From Friday, 24 November at 8am to Monday, 27 November at 6am, parking will be prohibited on:

• The Quai des États-Unis (also between the restricted access quay area and the junction with the Route de la Piscine)
• The Route de la Piscine
• Quai Antoine I (between the Quai car park and the Rocher-Noghès tunnel)
• Darse Sud
• Virage Louis Chiron
• The first section of Jules Soccal jetty

Parking will be prohibited on Boulevard Albert Ier from 11pm on Saturday, 25 November to 6.30pm on Sunday, 26 November.
 

The Louis Chiron car park will be closed, but access via Jules Soccal jetty will be available to yachtsmen for short periods between races and under manual control.

• CAM line no. 1 (Monaco-Ville - Saint-Roman) will be diverted onto Avenue d'Ostende and temporary stops will be in place at 'Stade Nautique' and 'Princesse Antoinette' (Station)
• For inter-city routes 607-608 and 80, traffic on Boulevard Albert Ier, towards Menton, will only be able to use the traffic lane; a temporary stop will be set up opposite the ‘Princesse Antoinette’ stop.

However, no disruption is expected for journeys to Nice.
