Saint-Charles swimming pool: reopening and new activities!
The Saint-Charles swimming pool reopened on Thursday 1 June 2023 at 1.30pm.
This year sees the introduction of two new activities and a new layout for the gym.
What's new?
- Children aged 6/7 and over can learn to swim in waves reminiscent of mermaids or dolphins. The Aqua Mermaid and Aqua Dolphin classes will be taught by an experienced coach and will enable the youngest members of the family to tone their whole body and gain confidence, even underwater. These classes take place on Wednesday afternoons and are strictly for children who already know how to swim (a swim test will be carried out beforehand).
- For adults, two new courses will be introduced :
- An Aqua Power + aquagym class will be offered for experienced sportsmen and women in good physical condition, using weights, elastic bands and mats (etc.) both in and out of the water, to dynamic music designed to encourage cardiovascular activity.
- The more 'relaxing' Aqua Relax class will encourage stretching and breathing exercises to soft music.
- In addition, the gym in the sports complex has been converted into a new area for gentle activities, with classes in pilates, yoga and stretching (etc.) supervised by a coach specially recruited for the occasion. The size of the structure will enable sessions to be held in an 'intimate' setting, with a maximum of 6 to 8 people per session.
Outside lesson times, the room, which also includes sports equipment, will remain open to pool users.
