Monaco’s Stamp Issuing Office will release the following stamps for sale on 16th January 2013:

Timbre-Féline

The Turkish Angora will be honoured at the next International Cat Exhibition. The event, organised by the "Fédération Féline de Monte-Carlo" in Auditorium Rainier III, gives the public an opportunity to admire the most beautiful cats of each breed.

0,95€ 125th ANNIVERSARY OF THE SOCIÉTÉ NAUTIQUE DE MONACO

Société-nautique-dentelure

In 1888, twelve Monegasques got together to create a sports club called Société des Régates; it organised sailing and rowing regattas. In 1953, the Yacht Club de Monaco was founded and took over the sailing activities, while the Société des Régates changed its name to Société Nautique de Monaco and continued with the rowing. A young Monegasque oarsman representing the Principality performed brilliantly at the recent Olympic Games in London.

1,75€ INTERNATIONAL BOUQUET COMPETITION 2013

Bouquets-dentelure

The International Bouquet Competition never fails to amaze its many visitors with the quality of the floral designs in competition. Organised by the Garden Club de Monaco and chaired by H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, the 46th competition will take place on the Casino terraces on 4 and 5 May 2013. The bouquet shown on the stamp won last year’s prize in the “Mediterranean Garden” category.

  • Quantity of issue: 40 000 stamps

These stamps will be on sale at the Stamp Issuing Office, at the Museum of Philately and Coinage, at the Principality’s post offices and philatelic counters, and from Monégasque stamp traders and some philatelic sellers in France. They will be available to our subscribers and customers, together with other treasures from the philately programme of the first half of 2013.
