As part of its digital transition strategy and commitment to offering modernised online services, the Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition (DITN) has helped to redesign the websites of the Prince’s Government’s diplomatic missions, including embassies, the Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe and the Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.

An optimised user experience

Designed to offer smooth, intuitive browsing, the new websites have been developed in consultation with stakeholders in order to better meet the expectations of local users, Monegasque residents abroad and international visitors.

With a simplified structure and modernised interfaces, the sites enable fast access to essential information, including:

  • Insight into the Principality’s diplomatic activity and international affairs
  • Administrative procedures (visas, passports, official documents)
  • Useful resources for Monegasque residents abroad
  • Information for foreign nationals who want to learn more about the Principality and its ties with the country concerned

The websites have been designed to offer users an optimised browsing experience, and can be viewed equally well on a computer or a smartphone.

A tool to promote Monaco

In addition to their practical use, the websites are a way of strengthening Monaco’s visibility on the international stage. They help to showcase the Principality’s image and the actions it takes, by facilitating access to essential information for Monegasques wanting to travel to a foreign country and by highlighting diplomatic news and bilateral relations.

For example, the area dedicated to Monaco’s forthcoming presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (May to November 2026) is now accessible on www.monaco-coe.gouv.mc.

An Extended Monaco project

The redesign, which was carried out in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation is part of the Extended Monaco programme, which puts digital technology at the heart of government services to offer users a more modern and engaging experience. Beyond a simple redesign, the ultimate objective is to offer every diplomatic mission which wants one a “turnkey” website that can be adapted to their specific needs while at the same time providing a consistent user experience.

As part of this initiative, websites for some of the Principality’s other embassies will be launched during the course of the year, strengthening Monaco’s digital presence on the international stage.
