NEWS RELEASE

With the summer season and major events approaching, on Tuesday 8 April 2025, the Principality launched the TAXI MONACO mobile app.

This innovative new app, designed by a Monegasque company hosted by the business incubator Monaco Boost, completes the work begun with the introduction of the registered trademark TAXI MONACO and the associated logo to boost the visibility of the public taxi service operated by Taxis de Monaco.

With the same goal in mind, the recently developed www.taximonaco.mc, website offers users a genuine interface, facilitating access to the various services available and including a fare calculator.

As part of the "Extended Monaco" programme, the TAXI MONACO mobile app is fully inline with the Principality’s digital development, and will enhance passengers’ digital experience by offering them an instant ordering and booking service. The aim of this new tool is to streamline journey management and guarantee world-class service.

Thanks to this fast, intuitive solution, local residents and visitors to the Principality can order and book taxis with just a few clicks, track their journey in real time, communicate with drivers and pay directly via the app. It couldn’t be simpler.

All of these developments demonstrate the professionalism of the Taxis de Monaco service and ensure that the Monaco Association of Independent Taxi Operators (AETIM) can offer passengers a seamless experience in line with modern standards and the expectations of a demanding clientele.

PLEASE NOTE: Monaco is boosting its taxi fleet for the summer season

To meet the extra demand seen during the summer season and major upcoming events in the Principality, 28 additional taxis will operate for the Monaco taxi association. The drivers, selected after a call for applications published in October 2024, have a licence to operate for six months.
