Understanding the process
If you wish to enrol your child in an educational establishment outside of the Principality, you must declare this in writing to the Department of Education, Youth and Sport.
You should send a letter addressed to the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, stating the following information:
- The child's full name and date of birth
- The child's address
- The address and contact details of the school the child is attending
You should attach any supporting documents relating to the enrolment to this letter.
Please note that if you are enrolling your child during the course of the year, this declaration must be sent within eight days of the enrolment.
You must renew this declaration of enrolment in an educational establishment outside the Principality every year.
