Understanding the process
The Government offers a wide variety of jobs, accessible through internal memos (reserved exclusively for Monegasque civil servants), recruitment notices, and Ministerial Decrees. The Human Resources and Training Department (D.R.H.F.F.P.) handles recruitment.
Recruitment notices and Ministerial Decrees are published in the Journal de Monaco for a minimum period of ten days. All procedures currently underway are accessible here.
This online service allows candidates to apply online.
The D.R.H.F.F.P. will conduct an initial assessment of qualifications and references in accordance with required conditions.
Tests will be organised to decide between candidates. Candidates will be ranked using a scoring system based on the professional skills required, presentation, interest in the position, and interpersonal skills.
Recruitment is carried out in compliance with the provisions of Act no. 188 of 18 July 1934 pertaining to public service occupations, amended, granting priority to Monegasque citizens in recruitment to public employment.
Applications for civil servant positions must be submitted via the dedicated online service.
When applying for a position for the first time using the online service, all required documentation must be provided via this tool.
To make the process easier, however, documents submitted for a previous application (excluding the CV and cover letter) can be used again for a new application for a period of two years.
Applications that remain in draft form, are not submitted on time or are incomplete when processed will not be considered.
Candidates receive an automatic email receipt when their application is sent.
To apply for one of the jobs noted above, each candidate must prepare an application that includes the following:
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae in French
- A letter of motivation
- A copy of the diplomas
- Any document that proves priority under Act 188 of 18 July 1934 pertaining to public service occupations, amended
- A copy of criminal record dated within the last 3 months
