The Department of Cultural Affairs organises an exhibition by visual artists who are Monegasque nationals or residents every two years. Places are limited. Applications to participate in the 2026 Artists' Forum are now closed.
Understanding the process
This biennial event, organised by the Department of Cultural Affairs at the behest of the Prince’s Government, aims to support local artists by offering them a space in which to present their work to the public.
Artists, both amateur and professional, Monegasque nationals or residents, will present their paintings, sculpture or photography.
Every forum sees new artists bring new techniques that enrich the exhibition.
More, the Public Choice Award, lets visitors vote for their favourite work in the exhibition on the Artists' Forum’s website.
To be eligible, candidates must be:
- Of Monegasque nationality
or
- Resident in the Principality for more than five years
In response to a call for participation in the Artists' Forum, applicants are required to complete the application file, which includes the terms and conditions of participation, an entry form, a technical sheet and a disclaimer. The application file may be downloaded or collected from the Department of Cultural Affairs.
To take part in Monaco Artists' Forum, you must provide:
- A photocopy of your ID card if you are of Monegasque nationality
- A photocopy of your residence permit and a residence certificate dated within the last three months (for residents who have lived in the Principality for more than 5 years)
- The application duly completed and signed
- A photograph or print on paper of the work and a digital file (PDF or JPEG format) of the work
The application must be submitted:
- By post to the Department of Cultural Affairs
- By email to infodac@gouv.mc with « candidature FAM » (FAM application) as the subject.
The Department of Cultural Affairs draws applicants' attention to the limited number of places available and reserves the right to refuse any application that is incomplete or that is not submitted by the deadline specified in the call for participation.
