How to apply to install special equipment on your balcony during the Grand Prix

If you wish to install temporary structures or special equipment on your balcony, loggia or terrace during the Grand Prix you must obtain permission in advance from the Ministry of the Interior.

Your application must consist of:

• A request stating the technical details and dimensions of the temporary structures or special equipment
• A concise layout plan of the terrace
• An agreement from the managing agents of co-ownership, if applicable
• A written declaration from the installer stating that the recommendations for installation stipulated by the manufacturer of the temporary structures or special equipment will be adhered to, as set out in l’article 2 l’Arrêté Ministériel n° 2005-238 du 9 mai 2005A written declaration undertaking to have the structures and electrical installations and any technical equipment used in the context of the event checked by an authorised entity in the Principality

You should submit the application to the Technical Commission for Health, Safety and Environmental Protection at least one month before the start of the Grand Prix.

All equipment installed must be checked by an authorised entity in the Principality.

The reports and certificates of inspections made by this body (such as the stability of the balcony/loggia/terrace, the stability of the guard rail(s), and the assembly and stability of the structures and equipment installed and, if relevant, electrical, cooking and air conditioning equipment, etc.), must be made available to the President of the Technical Commission for Health, Safety and Environmental Protection.

This Commission may arrange for a sub-committee to inspect the equipment installed.
