A duplicate of your residence permit can be issued to you if your current one is lost or stolen. It will have the same expiry date as your current card.
Understanding the process
If your residence permit has been lost or stolen, you can request a duplicate. An issuing fee is payable (80€).
Before submitting your request via the special online service, please make sure you have the following documents:
- A passport or a valid identity card
- If you are not the owner or tenant of your accommodation: a Certificate of Accommodation issued by the Monaco Police Department, to be completed by the person providing the accommodation, which can be downloaded here:
- Sworn declaration signed by the applicant (residence permit holder), which can be downloaded here:
- If you are requesting a duplicate following the theft of your permit: crime report or certificate of theft (translated into French if necessary)
- Most recent energy bill (electricity or gas)
Before applying for your residence permit via the special online service, please make sure you have the "Sworn Statement" form which can be downloaded here:
Once you have collated the supporting documents listed in the previous step in digital format, please submit your application using the special online service by clicking on the button below.

After your request has been received, the Residency Section will notify you by email and/or SMS. You will receive a link allowing you to make an appointment on the dedicated platform.
Issuance duties for the residence permit are paid when the document is delivered.
Please do not send a cheque in the post.
