Parents who live and undertake a professional activity in the Principality may request financial assistance for the care of their sick child(ren), if they are unable to care for them themselves.
Understanding the process
The children must be under 13 years of age, with temporary interruption of their schooling.
The support amounts to:

- 10€ per hour for parents who fall within the "pink category" of the Social Security Funds (or equivalent)
To apply for this assistance, please submit the following document:
- A photocopy of both parents' payslip for December of the previous year (if the gross annual total is not shown, a declaration of salary specifying the total must be provided)
- For members of the CCSS – CAMTI, a photocopy for the current year's social fund registration card
- A photocopy of the parents' and child's identity document
- The child's school enrolment certificate for the current year
You should submit the receipted invoice to the Department of Social Welfare and Social Services (DASO), which will provide reimbursement based on the amount set for the contribution to these costs.
