Assistance is paid to the mother of an unborn child of Monegasque nationality who is not entitled to a maternity insurance scheme.
Understanding the process
This benefit guarantees the mother:
- Coverage of medical expenses associated with her pregnancy and the costs of the mother and baby medical examinations required as part of the maternity record book (carnet de maternité)
- The "private room" supplement during her stay in the maternity ward
To obtain this benefit, you must:
- Contact the Department of Social Welfare and Social Services (DASO) on 98 98 41 00
- Supply your maternity record book and proof of examinations
- Supply the invoice for the room supplement
