How to apply for the supplementary residency allowance

Those who receive a pension from the Princess Grace Hospital retirement scheme, who are Monegasque or foreign nationals permanently and effectively resident in the Principality, may apply for the supplementary residency allowance. The allowance is dependent on income and years worked.

The amount of the allowance is set at 30% of the direct pension up to the ceiling for the "green category" for retired persons with more than 25 years’ service at Princess Grace Hospital.

Two fixed allowances may also be paid depending on years of service:

• One to retired persons with between 15 and 20 years’ service at Princess Grace Hospital
• Another to retired persons with between 20 and 25 years’ service at Princess Grace Hospital

The allowance is paid monthly.
