Principle

The Human Papillomavirus is responsible for 70% to 80% of cases of cervical cancer and/or numerous precancerous conditions.

Who it concerns

It concerns girls from age 11 upwards – and, exceptionally, young women up to the age of 23 who have not had sexual relations.

Boys can also benefit, to prevent associated cancers.

How the vaccination is administered

Visit your gynaecologist or your general practitioner.

This vaccination requires three successive injections. The French Health Authority gives equal preference to both of the two vaccines used.
