Connecting to the Family Portal means that some categories of personal information relating to you as well as information about your children is processed by the State of Monaco.
By accessing the Portal, you agree to paperless billing for your child(ren)’s school meals. In accordance with Article 43 of the
, the introduction of this digital service does not eliminate the ability to receive paper invoices.As such, if you do not wish to make use of the paperless billing option, you can log in and go to the "My Account" section, then untick the box "Receive invoices by email". You will then receive all invoices for school meals in paper form via your child(ren)’s carnet de liaison (parent-teacher correspondence book), and you will still be able to access the other functions enabled by the service.
To access the Family Portal, you must accept this User’s Charter.
In accordance with the provisions of
, amended, the information gathered via the school meals management tool is collected by the State of Monaco / Department of Education, Youth and Sport acting in its capacity as the data controller, hereinafter referred to as "the Administration".
Preliminary information
As part of the operation of this tool, the Administration (Department of Education, Youth and Sport) processes personal information for the purpose of "Managing school meals provision". This processing makes it possible to:
- Create a user account
- Manage the Family Portal
- Check and change details of family members
- Manage visits to the school canteen (attendance and visit schedule)
- Generate invoices and history
- Pay for school meals
Processing is justified by the user’s agreement to accept the User’s Charter for the tool prior to logging in.
The information processed as part of the operation of the school meals management tool is intended for the Administration, and more specifically for the manager of the school which the pupil attends, as well as the catering supplier and the software publisher in strict accordance with their remits, and is not used for any communication for commercial or advertising purposes. The Administration undertakes not to communicate this information to third parties, except in the cases provided for by law.
The personal information collected is kept for five years after the last invoice, which is in line with the required retention period given the justified purpose described above.
Some personal information collected via the school meals management tool is mandatory (e.g. first name and last name) and required, first for processing purposes and second, to be able to respond to any requests or questions from a relevant person. If the information marked as mandatory on the data collection forms (those fields marked with an *) is not provided, access to the school meals management software cannot be granted.
In accordance with the legislation that applies in the Principality, with regard to their personal data, each individual affected has the right of access and the right to rectification. To exercise these rights or in the event of any questions about the processing of personal data as part of using the school meals management tool, the relevant person can submit a written request, stating the subject of their request and their surname, first name and email address, to the postal address of the school at which their child is enrolled.
To ensure that the response remains confidential and that we are replying only to the person whose data is involved, those submitting requests may be asked to provide proof of their identity, in black and white.
Individuals who have exercised their rights but feel, after contacting the Government, that their rights have not been respected, can submit a complaint to the Data Protection Authority of Monaco (Commission de Contrôle des Informations Nominatives-CCINN): www.ccin.mc.
