Principle

The Youth Employment Unit (Cellule emploi-Jeunes) of the Employment Office constitutes a strong link between the world of work and young students or first time job seekers and establishes relationships between young people and companies in the Principality. Within the context of its work, the Youth Employment Unit helps young people find their first job, apprenticeship or internship. The Youth Employment Unit does this by offering these young people individualised assistance and specialist help, regardless of the level of study of the individual or the employment sector concerned.

The new Youth Employment Unit website (cellule-emploi-jeunes.gouv.mc) went online on 1 June 2022. It enables users to search a catalogue of Monegasque firms and contact them. The website contains details of all the information and services provided by the Youth Employment Unit.

In order to do this, the Youth Employment Unit works with companies to evaluate their employment opportunities and to find them young candidates who have the background they are looking for. The Youth Employment Unit is also in contact with different educational insitutions and helps students to find internships and apprenticeships.

Target population

The Youth Employment Unit is aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and 26:

  • Monegasque nationals
  • Spouses and children of Monegasque nationals
  • Monegasque residents
  • Residents of neighbouring areas who went to school in the Principality

Regardless of the level of study of the individual or the activity sector concerned, the Youth Employment Unit offers their help in the search for:

  • A first job
  • Internships (stage)
  • Apprenticeship (contrat d’apprentissage)
