Understanding the process
Home Nursing Care Service (S.S.I.A.D.) ) is a service ran by the Princess Grace Hospital who provides hygiene and care services for elderly people who are unwell or dependent on care. These services also aim to restore a certain degree of their autonomy.
To receive home nursing care service you must:
- Be resident in Monaco
- Be over 60 years of age
- Be registered with a Monegasque Social Security Fund (CCSS, SPME, SBM, CAMTI, etc.)
- Or, if you are registered with a French Social Security Fund, have an agreement regarding the provision of such services
If the Social Security Fund of the applicant agrees to pay for these services, an initial agreement is made for a period 30 days at the beginning of the provision of services, which is subsequently renewable every 60 days (extensions must be signed by the recipient’s doctor).
You should apply for these services at the Home Care Services Unite At the Princess Grace Hospital.
The Princess Grace Hospital Home Nursing Care Service (S.S.I.A.D.) can be referred to you by the hospital medical team when you are discharged from the hospital, or by your GP if you are at home.
