Requests to switch to digital identity cannot be made using this online service.

Understanding the process
From now on, paper applications will need to be made using a certified form which is sent out on request by the Residency Section.

All foreign residents in Monaco must renew their residence permit on or before the expiry date. After examining the applicant's file, the permit will be issued on payment of the issuance fee:
- Temporary Permit: €40
- Ordinary Permit: €50
- Privilege Permit: €80
- Spouse of a Monegasque national: €40
In the case of late renewal, for all residence permits: €50.
Please note that if you would like to activate your digital identity when you renew your residence permit, you can ask the staff member from the Residents’ Section to do so when you collect your card.
To begin this procedure, please make sure you have the following documents:
- A passport or a valid identity card
- A Sworn Declaration signed by the applicant (residence permit holder), which can be downloaded here:
- The last electricity bill relating to your accommodation
- Proof of means of support (last payslip, or authorisation of activity, or a reference issued by a Monaco bank, etc.)
- If you are not the owner or tenant of your accommodation: a Certificate of Accommodation issued by the Monaco Police Department, to be completed by the person providing the accommodation, which can be downloaded here:
- If applicable, a recent certificate showing that you are being supported by another resident (can be downloaded here):
Applying via the online service
Once you have collated the supporting documents listed in the previous step in digital format, you can apply to renew your residence permit using the special online service by clicking below
If you have difficulty using the online services, the "Maison du Numérique" at "Jardins d'Apolline", 1, Promenade Honoré II in Monaco, will be able to help you, if you make an appointment by telephone (+377 92.26.92.26),or by email at contact@mdn.mc.
You should collect your residence permit directly from the Monaco Police Department at the address given at the top of this page.
Do not send a cheque by post. Payment for your residence permit should be made when it is issued.
If you would like to activate your digital identity on your new permit, you can do this during this appointment with the staff member.
To obtain the form and the list of documents to be provided, you must apply to the Residency Section, located on the first floor of entrance B to the Louis II Stadium, 2, Avenue Albert II.

You should provide a statement of loss or theft, addressed to the Monaco Police Department.
