Accidents at work
You must make a declaration of an accident at work. Notify your employer of the incident as soon as possible. In order for you to claim damages for physical injury and material damages, your employer must declare the incident to their insurance company within two working days.
Accidents while travelling to or from work
You must make a declaration of an accident at work. Make a claim for material damages to the insurer of the vehicle. Notify your employer so he or she can make another claim for damages for physical injuries you may have incurred.
Specific measures
The medical certificate required for the legal process is not the same as the medical certificate for absence from work that is given to the employer.
Ask your employer for details of his or her insurer (insurance agent or company and policy number). These details must be given to the police.
In addition to the legal procedure, your employer must declare your accident at work to the Administrative Police Division of the Police Department.
