Understanding the process
You can benefit from a grant for a work experience placement if you are:
- Monegasque
- The spouse of a Monegasque national, and not legally separated
- Born of a Monegasque ascendant and resident in the Principality or in a neighbouring department at the time of the application
- From a household where both parents are Monegasque and resident in the Principality or in a neighbouring department at the time of the application
- The dependant of a Monegasque national and resident in the Principality or in a neighbouring department at the time of the application
- Resident in the Principality for at least ten years
At the time of the application for a grant you must:
- Either be following a course of study in a higher education establishment (general, professional or technological training)
- Or have finished your training without ever having been in paid employment, apart from seasonal employment
You must be aged 30 or over at the time of application.

- Collect it from Department of Education, Youth and Sport
- A request on plain paper stating in particular if the work experience placement will be carried out during or after your studies
- The form from the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, duly completed and signed ("proposal for a work experience placement")
- A copy of the work placement contract, duly signed, stating the place and duration of the work experience placement and the name and position of the tutor of the student undertaking this placement, or failing that, a written undertaking from the employer
- A declaration issued by the employer stating that the student undertaking the work experience placement will not be paid, or failing that, stating the amount of his or her payment during the work experience placement
- A civil responsibility insurance statement covering the student during the work experience placement
- A certificate of nationality
- Two window envelopes (DL 110 x 220), stamped for a 100-gramme letter (i.e. 2 Monegasque stamps at the current postal rate per application)
- Bank account details (IBAN) of the applicant, if they are an adult, or of their legal representative, in the case of minors only
- A request on plain paper stating in particular if the work experience placement will be carried out during or after your studies
- The form from the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, duly completed and signed ("proposal for a work experience placement")
- A copy of the work placement contract, duly signed, stating the place and duration of the work experience placement and the name and position of the tutor of the student undertaking this placement, or failing that, a written undertaking from the employer
- A declaration issued by the employer stating that the student undertaking the work experience placement will not be paid, or failing that, stating the amount of his or her payment during the work experience placement

- A certificate of nationality for the monegasque spouse
- A marriage certificate

- Bank account details (IBAN) of the applicant, if they are an adult, or of their legal representative, in the case of minors only
- A request on plain paper stating in particular if the work experience placement will be carried out during or after your studies
- The form from the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, duly completed and signed ("proposal for a work experience placement")
- A copy of the work placement contract, duly signed, stating the place and duration of the work experience placement and the name and position of the tutor of the student undertaking this placement, or failing that, a written undertaking from the employer

- A certificate of 10 years of residence in the Principality
- Two window envelopes (DL 110 x 220), stamped for a 100-gramme letter (i.e. 2 Monegasque stamps at the current postal rate per application)
- Proof of bank details (IBAN - International Bank Account Number)
- A request on plain paper stating in particular if the work experience placement will be carried out during or after your studies
- The form from the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, duly completed and signed ("proposal for a work experience placement")
- A copy of the work placement contract, duly signed, stating the place and duration of the work experience placement and the name and position of the tutor of the student undertaking this placement, or failing that, a written undertaking from the employer
- A declaration issued by the employer stating that the student undertaking the work experience placement will not be paid, or failing that, stating the amount of his or her payment during the work experience placement
- A civil responsibility insurance statement covering the student during the work experience placement
- A certificate of 10 years of residence in the Principality
- Two window envelopes (DL 110 x 220), stamped for a 100-gramme letter (i.e. 2 Monegasque stamps at the current postal rate per application)
- Bank account details (IBAN) of the applicant, if they are an adult, or of their legal representative, in the case of minors only
- A copy of the diploma awarded at the end of the studies
- A certificate stating that they are attending an educational establishment
- A declaration of attendance at an educational establishment for the latest course of study
- A copy of the marks obtained
You should submit the complete application and the required supporting documents to the Department of Education, Youth and Sport before the start of the work experience placement.
